The functions of each component are described one by one.

Light diffuser: After passing through the light diffuser, the light from the backlight lamp can be evenly distributed to each pixel;

Storage capacitance: its capacity is about 0.5PF. Its two poles are connected with a transparent display electrode/transparent common electrode.

Since the capacity between the transparent display electrode and the transparent public electrode is about 0.1PF, it cannot keep the charged voltage until the next update of the picture (for example, when the refresh rate is 60HZ, the holding time is about 16MS), so it needs to be maintained with the help of the storage capacitor.

TFT: the thin-film transistor is a switching device that determines whether the LIQUID crystal is charged or not (thin-film transistor only plays the role of on or off. When the thin-film transistor is on, it outputs a voltage from its source pole to charge the liquid crystal and storage capacitor. The level of charging voltage is determined by the LCD drive circuit);

Row electrode: the scanning electrode, also known as the gate bus, is connected to the gate of the thin-film transistor within each sub-pixel;

Array electrode: signal electrode, also known as drain bus, is connected with the drain of the thin-film transistor in each sub-pixel;

Glass base plate: used for isolation;

Polarized glass plate: polarizing plate. The inner polarized glass plate 1 is horizontally open and the outer polarized glass plate is vertically open.

Transparent display electrode: it is connected with the source pole of each thin film transistor to form a charging electrode together with the transparent public electrode to charge the liquid crystal in each sub-pixel point.

Color filter: Also called color filter, is made up of many transistors glass, LCD screen to display a color image, usually in a transparent public electrode and the polarization between the glass with a color filter to realize, when the light through the liquid crystal layer, and then through the color filter, due to the color filter in the horizontal direction are red, green, blue three colors and arrangement, the R, G, B three colors into independent three points, each point corresponds to a sub-pixel, adjacent R, G, B three points have different gray level change at the same time form a pixel, pixels of numerous have a different gray level change, by the addition of space mixed color principle, So that we can see a color picture.
